type='html'>

The first HTC smartphone to combine all the lovely technology and design ability with Beats Audio technology has landed.

Officially unveiled today, the HTC Sensation XE is a hip-hop-tastic version of the HTC Sensation that features a more vibrant look, faster processor and better battery – and of course, Beats.
Coming with a special Beats by Dr Dre earphones that once plugged in tune the music so you can hear exactly what the artist intended you to hear, the Sensation XE is said to deliver “studio quality audio”.

The earphones come with a remote control that lets you change tracks and answer calls without having to search your pockets for the handset.

“Audio is a crucial part of any consumer’s mobile experience and we are continually pushing the audio boundaries to encompass not only improved voice but music, movies and games,” said Jason Mackenzie, president of global sales and marketing, HTC Corporation.

The HTC Sensation XE features a 4.3 inch qHD display and an aluminium frame with red highlights. The 1.2GHz dual-core processor of the original Sensation has been boosted to 1.5GHz on the XE version for even more zippiness, and the web browser includes multi-window viewing and full Flash support.

The inbuilt camera is the same 8-megapixel device with autofocus and LED flash as well as 1080p HD video recording capabilities. There is also a front-facing VGA snapper for making video calls.

And when you combine all the features with an improved battery life, the Sensation XE is likely to prove popular when it lands, especially with music fans. The handset is expected to be released later this month so we’ll keep you updated on pricing and launch date details.

Previously rumoured to be the HTC Runnymede, it looks likely HTC’s NYC event will be about the Bliss handset.We’ll know more next week on new HTC phones but what we want to know now is, is the Beats-enabled Sensation XE the phone for you?
